We are adopting!

We are so excited to announce that we have received PA from China to adopt an amazing little girl!. We have been hesitant to share our wonderful news because of the heartbreak we felt when Russia banned US adoption. This little girl is the perfect match for our family. I can’t wait until we can fill you in on all the details. We are happy to be beginning this process again. We weren’t expecting to be matched with a child so quickly. Although this is a long process, it feels as though it is going so quickly. We have been blessed with a great support system this time. We even have a friend who is setting up fundraising for us. A wonderful update on Abe!!!

I just spoke with a friend who was able to meet with adorable little Abe in China last week. He is doing so well! She was told that he wouldn’t make eye contact, but to her surprise she was met by a very happy toddler who loved playing chasing games! He interacted with her and the other kids. It was so great to see him smiling in her photos. He is not only walking, but running. He made a great game out of running from the camera. He is still on the special PKU diet and appears to be thriving. In addition to all this great news, there is also a $2000 grant available towards Abe’s adoption costs. Abe is going to bring so much joy to a family.
